Too fast

It’s been a bit under 4 years that ChatGPT went into the public. Many things have happened, but there’s been one constant. Everything has been moving so fast…new models, new players entering the scene, images, videos…and in the middle of all that, layoffs, clients wanting to cut costs and an uncertain future for all of us.

Yet, some people know it all, or so they say. They know how many less professionals will be needed, they know what model you should be using today for each task (it came out yesterday, by the way), they now everything. You need to stay in the loop, they say.

In case you, my friend reading this, needed a reminder: they’re probably trying to sell you something. It’s ok if you haven’t rushed to try Claude Fable, ChatGPT Sol or whatever frontier model is out today. You’ll try them eventually, or they will be outdated by the next thing. Whatver.

I’m always thinking long-term, so all this AI uncertainty is not easy to navigate. What I do know is that I don’t care one bit about the hottest AI news of the day. Hottest news from a few weeks ago is fine.
